US 95 to close at I-15 in downtown Las Vegas overnight Wednesday/Thursday
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
Both directions of U.S. 95 will be closed at Interstate 15 in downtown Las Vegas starting Wednesday night for bridge construction, part of the Project Neon "Main Event," according to transportation officials.
The closure is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, and last until 5 a.m. Thursday, June 7. MLK Boulevard will also be closed at U.S. 95 during the same time.
I-15 and the Spaghetti Bowl ramps will remain open, according to a spokesman for the Nevada Department of Transportation.
This is the third of six full freeway closures planned in the work schedule of Project Neon. Workers will be using the closure to pour concrete for the new I-15 southbound bridge deck.
Project Neon is nearly 70 percent complete, NDOT said in a statement. It remains on schedule to be completed by the summer of 2019.
