ORIGINAL | A smoke and ozone advisory issued for Clark County has been extended through Friday, Aug. 3, according to the county's Department of Air Quality.

The issue stems from wildfire smoke coming from California, which has contributed to elevated levels of fine particulate matter and ozone in the region.

Those who might be sensitive to higher levels of particles and ozone, such as children or those with cardiac disease, should limit the amount of time spent outdoors.
